Dr. Amy Bonham was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, and attended Keswick Christian School. She has a special interest in treating children and has volunteered with organizations such as Gulf Coast Dental Outreach, Give Kids a Smile, Bay Area Pregnancy Center, and the Spina Bifida Association of Central Florida. She has also participated in dental mission trips to Ecuador and Honduras.

Education

Dr. Amy earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida, where she also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shriner’s Hospital for Children. She later attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry (2003) alongside her husband, Dr. Carey Bonham. She was a member of the American Student Dental Association and Christian Dental Society. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, Pinellas County Dental Association, and West Coast District Dental Association.

Family

Dr. Amy and her husband Carey have three children: Sage, Selah, and Caden. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family boating, camping, biking, and hiking, as well as participating in adventure and endurance sports.

Dr. Carey Bonham grew up in Largo, Florida and attended Indian Rocks Christian School. He is the son of Dr. Chris Bonham and Leola Bonham and is Dr. Amy Bonham’s husband. He has been active in sports from an early age and enjoys a myriad of outdoor pursuits, adventure travel, and endurance sports. He is thrilled to be able to treat patients in his hometown. With the experience and knowledge from his father’s dental career, dentistry is a perfect fit for Carey. He respects his father, Dr. Chris Bonham, and his wife, Dr. Amy Bonham, and is excited and honored to work with them in the profession.

Education

Dr. Carey continued his studies at the University of South Florida where he actively participated in the Honors Society, Pre-Dental Society, and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. During college he trained and worked as an EMT. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology, he moved on to the University of Florida to pursue his dental degree. At the University of Florida, he was a member of the American Student Dental Association and President of the Christian Dental Society. He actively pursues continuing education on the latest techniques through multiple local and national CE courses, including implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, and denture courses. He also completed a mini-residency in IV sedation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007 and is certified to administer conscious IV sedation.

Family

Dr. Carey Bonham married his wife, Amy, the summer before starting dental school. Amy was also accepted to dental school, and the two shared the joys and trials of the dental school experience together. They now have two daughters, Sage and Selah, and a son, Caden. They really enjoy spending time and traveling together as a family. It truly is a family affair here at Bonham Dental Arts as they are both a part of the Bonham Dental Arts team.

Dr. Carey Bonham’s main focus is on the restoration of patients’ smiles using the latest innovative dental techniques and on his own continuous improvement through continuing education. He strongly feels that every patient should have the healthiest mouth possible. He strives to build long-lasting relationships with his patients and enjoys doing comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s specific needs and situation. He specifically enjoys using implants, laser, adhesive dentistry, and sedation to do dentistry that would not have been possible years ago without these techniques.

Dr. Chris Bonham has lived all over the world due to his father’s occupation with Mobil Oil Corporation. He went to high school in Leysin, Switzerland and spent his senior year in Melbourne, FL, where he learned to fly. While still in high school, his family moved to Indonesia, and his parents later retired to Dallas.

Education

Dr. Chris received his undergraduate education at Southern Illinois University, obtaining a B.A. in Physiology (1975), a B.S. in Dental Prosthetics (1976), and an A.A. in Dental Laboratory Technology (1976). Before pursuing his graduate degree, he opened and operated a full-service dental laboratory. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis in 1984. He later obtained a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Pinellas County Dental Association, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), Dental Sleep Solution, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).

Family

Dr. Chris met his wife at Southern Illinois University. They call Florida home and look forward to sharing their love of dentistry with their son and daughter-in-law.

Hobbies & Interests

Dr. Bonham has traveled extensively, fueling his passion for hiking, sailing, skiing, and photography. His love for the arts and sciences provides the perfect foundation for his dental career.

Dr. Renee Eisenberg grew up in Hanover, PA and attended Pennsylvania State University where she received her B.S. in Biobehavioral Health. She earned her D.D.S. from Columbia College of Dental Medicine and completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Bay Pines VA. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association, and actively pursues continuing education courses.

Dr. Renee is a compassionate dentist with a passion for preventative care and patient education. Her approachable demeanor puts patients at ease, and her commitment to staying current ensures effective and efficient treatments.

Outside the Office

Dr. Renee moved to Florida for the sunny beaches and outdoor lifestyle. She enjoys playing beach volleyball, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Gabriela Cuebas earned her B.S. in General Science and DMD from the University of Puerto Rico in 2017. She completed a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and an orthodontic internship in Puerto Rico. She trained in implantology at the IPIRO Institute and is certified in advanced Botox and dermal fillers through Aesthetic Medical Educators Training.

Dr. Gabriela specializes in implantology, cosmetic dentistry, surgery, and facial aesthetics. She provides treatments ranging from implants and full-mouth rehabilitation to Botox, dermal fillers, and Invisalign. She is committed to continuous education to stay at the forefront of modern dental advancements.

Outside dentistry, Dr. Gabriela enjoys an active lifestyle—fishing, diving, boating, and working out. A passionate foodie, she loves exploring new restaurants with her fiancé and their two dogs.

Dr. Trenton Sweigart is a Pinellas County native who grew up in St. Pete Beach, Florida. He attended St. John Vianney Catholic School and St. Petersburg High School’s International Baccalaureate program before earning his higher education at the University of Florida. After practicing in Tampa, he is excited to serve patients in his home county.

Dr. Trenton was one of five students selected for the University of Florida’s prestigious B.S./D.M.D. honors program, where he earned a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He received training in Nitrous Oxide sedation and orthodontics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry, and Hillsborough County Dental Research Committee.

Hobbies & Interests

Dr. Trenton enjoys fishing, hiking, golf, and music. He has been part of several competitive a cappella and choral groups.
