Our three dental professionals share the same last name, so there’s no denying that we know a thing or two about family! Dr. Carey, Dr. Amy, and Dr. Chris Bonham share a strong bond that they hope to extend to every patient that walks in the door. When we meet your family, we make sure you leave with happy, healthy smiles every time.
Crowns and Inlays/Onlays
Crowns are generally appropriate any time there’s more than 50% of tooth structure missing. Inlays/Onlays are another treatment option to restore broken and decayed teeth with porcelain coverage. At Bonham Dental Arts, most crowns and inlays/onlays can be completed in one appointment. Our doctors and assistants have received extensive training in the use of the CEREC CAD/CAM technology, which offers the most precise technology for designing and milling crowns in our office, while using the highest quality porcelain materials. This eliminates the need for messy impressions, temporaries, as well as multiple appointments.
As one of the best ways to replace missing teeth, implants are versatile and work for full-mouth reconstructions or single tooth replacement procedures. The artificial tooth root that replaces the natural root is made of titanium, and is one of the most natural methods of tooth replacement. They can also be used to stabilize dentures or partials.
Dr. Carey Bonham has received extensive training in the placement and restoration of titanium implants. Our office uses the latest technological advances utilizing the Cone Beam 3D Dental Imaging, with all of our implant placements. This 3D dental imaging allows the doctor to place the implant digitally on the computer before the procedure. A custom guide is then created, which allows the doctor to precisely replicate the placement of the implant in the mouth.
If left untreated, dental decay (cavities) will continue to advance and may lead to pain and infection, as well as more complicated treatment. To eliminate decay and restore teeth to their natural condition, fillings are often the best option. At Bonham Dental Arts, we always use aesthetically-pleasing, tooth-colored fillings and the highest-quality materials, so you can look and feel your best.
All of our dental cleanings are performed by one of our skilled hygienists. Our hygienists are highly trained in the latest techniques and procedures for the prevention and treatment of gingivitis and periodontal (gum) disease. At Bonham Dental Arts, we understand that good oral health is essential for maintaining total body health. Gum disease has been linked to many other systematic inflammatory diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. If left untreated, gum disease can also lead to tooth loss.
A good option to replace one or more missing teeth is a permanent bridge. A bridge will span the space where there are missing teeth and will restore your smile back to health.
Dentures and Partial Dentures
We know that having a full set of teeth is important for the overall function, aesthetics and health of your mouth. Whether you are missing some, most or all of your teeth, dentures and partial dentures are a good option to replace the missing teeth. We work with the best labs to deliver you a denture that not only fits and functions well but also aesthetically restores your natural smile. Furthermore, traditional or mini implants can be placed as anchors to provide a better fit and more stability for your dentures.
Bonham Dental Arts follows the guidelines of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring with the use of oral appliances. We are devoted to the well-being of our patients and enjoy working with primary care physicians and sleep specialists.
In some situations, teeth may need to be removed to eliminate pain and infection. At Bonham Dental Arts, we can complete most extractions at our office right away. We also offer a variety of replacement options, from bridges to implants to partial dentures.
As a practice centered around comfort, we understand the importance of a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for even our smallest patients. From our waiting room designed with your children in mind, to a calming treatment environment for the whole family, we pride ourselves on creating a trusting relationship that will last a lifetime. We have created an appointment called the “happy visit” for parents and their child to meet us, and become familiar with the dental office experience. It’s suggested that a child have their first appointment around age one.
Bonham Dental Arts has had the privilege of caring for many of our patients as they reach retirement age and beyond. We are aware of the difficulties seniors face regarding decisions about their teeth and oral health. We will carefully evaluate all areas of concern and then offer the best treatment options based on each individual's needs. With all of the advances in dental care, treatment and technologies, it is possible to keep your teeth for a lifetime!
